Caroline joined IWEPS as Specialist Autism Support Consultant from the IW Children’s Services’ Autism Inclusion Team in 2011. She brought to the team a breadth and depth of experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs and Autism specifically, in schools and at home, providing advice and support to families and schools across the Island.
Following full time experience and excellent provision within the IWEPS Autism Assessment and Diagnostic Team, Caroline branched out to provide direct support within schools and provides Specialist Autism Support Consultancy with IWEPS as required in her own time. Within her role with IWEPS Caroline set up the South Wight Support Group of the Isle of Wight branch of the National Autistic Society in 2012 to provide a forum for professional and peer support for island families affected by Autism. This group runs on the third Thursday of each month at St John’s Church Hall in Wroxall between 6.30 and 8.30 - all are most welcome to attend.
